There IS a Deep State
It's the one tied to the Epstein Files. Aka CoverUpGate.
It’s a Saturday morning and I am doing my best to procrastinate. I could wash the car. Walk the dogs. Weed the garden. Hike the Sound of Music mountains within easy walking distance.
Or I could rage against the machine.
Because the ‘machine’ is in my head around the clock it feels like writing might help release some of the pressure.
So, here it goes. My ‘crackpot’ conjectures. Theories I pull out of my ass. I’m a dot connector without any verifiable references. It’s the vibes. Assuming the word ‘vibes’ are still current.
I’m a vibes guy.
Which means I’ve done no research. I’m unqualified to hold court about most topics. I like to laugh with friends about the fact that if the world consisted of 8 billion of me, or we started with only my skills and intellect, we would still be forging wheels out of stone.
Assuming, of course, we had invented wheels.
I think of myself as being like Tyrion in Game of Thrones. I’m not an Academy Award winning actor like Peter Dinklage but — like Tyrion — “I drink wine and I know things.”
QAnon — the 4chan, that moved to 8chan, conspiracists that have fueled the illegitimate president’s decade-long death-grip on our culture — burst onto the American stage when they started agitating and protesting over a perceived indifference by the government over investigating, and bringing to justice, child sex trafficking rings.
Pizzagate (minor aside — isn’t it interesting slash funny that this minor incident got a -gate added to it almost immediately while the Epstein Files are still just being called the Epstein Files? have you noticed that “incidents” merely referred to as “Files”, or “Papers”, never actually rise to the level of Watergate? Curious.) jump-started QAnon into the mainstream’s consciousness. It got national attention for a hot second. What we use to refer to as your 15 minutes of fame.
But it never went away.
QAnon true believers — as I mentioned in my previous column — anointed our illegitimate president their lord and savior. The next thing you know they were knocking down barriers at the Capitol Building, knocking out Capitol police officers with fire extinguishers and flagpoles and screaming for the head of the vice president.
QAnon folks genuinely believed the government — the Deep State — was protecting pedophiles and child sex trafficking rings. It IS something to be worked up over and they were WORKED up over it.
But, here’s the deal.
The Deep State they abhorred were the players behind the scenes manipulating their very own lord and savior and many other “outstanding” citizens, former heads of state, royalty and obscenely wealthy plutocrats. My throw a dart at the board guess is this involves international banking conglomerates, the Russian mob, the Russian government and the usual home-grown suspects.
Russia, Russia, Russia.
No wonder the doddering man-child kowtows like a browbeaten servant before Putin. Putin hooked him up over the years — probably through Epstein and Maxwell — with dozens of teen and pre-teen eastern European waifs. Think about the people constantly found to be in the illegitimate president’s orbit or sphere of influence.
SO many nefarious underworld-type Russians, underage Russian nesting dolls and, just generally, unscrupulous, people.
He’s enmeshed. Definitely since the time when no American bank would lend him money. I mean, what’s with all the Russians buying condos, suites and mansions?
There never was a liberal-leaning, or progressive-favoring, Deep State. If there had been, we would never have become the shithole country we now are deporting “others” because we can. Criminalizing the homeless. Robbing the rights of women. Blatantly ignoring the will of the people. If the Democrat-dominated Deep State ever existed, this rotten excuse for a human would never have bullied his way into office.
The real Deep State are the money launderers, sex traffickers, unethical bankers and morbidly rich folks who are holding all the cards when it comes to the Epstein “List”.
The cabal QAnon sought could have been accessed through the very guy they’ve hung on every word for the past decade. Maybe longer if their fascination started during the schlocky Celebrity Apprentice phase. He’s doing everything in his power to keep the curtain closed.
He’s tap dancing faster than I have ever seen him tap dance.
Did you hear the QAnon shaman is now disavowing his former lord and savior?
Heady days. (In the sense of “upsetting the mind” or “stupefying” per the American Heritage Dictionary. Not in any other sense.)

Also — I think she’s on to something. Besides, the man I try never to name, lives in my head rent-free and I’d be grateful just to hear his name only a dozen times every day.
What a fascinating column -- truthtelling from a man who, like all of us, sees the imbecile in the White House for what he is -- a sick psychopath shitting on America. And the TikTok clips help push the Resistance toward more action.
The Deep State is those who do not accept that the purpose of government is to provide for the health, safety, and general welfare of the People. Think the authors of project 2025 and Trump’s administration. Think those who are trying to shred the Constitution to accrue power for themselves: who use our country’s treasures for their own benefit: who lie about reality: and who concoct conspiracies to justify their illegal , cruel repressive actions.
